Anne M. Harbord

Anne is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with nearly 50 years of experience in long-term care nutrition, spanning clinical practice, multi-facility leadership, and consulting. She began her career after completing a dietetic internship at the University of Michigan Medical Center and graduating with high honors in dietetics from Michigan State University. She later earned a Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

For nearly a decade Anne served as Director of Nutrition Services for Care Enterprises in Tustin, California. There she directed the clinical dietitians and food service managers across 120 skilled nursing and intermediate care facilities, serving 12,000 residents, and built quality assurance programs for both clinical and administrative dietary services. In 1985 she founded Geriatric Nutrition Management, providing clinical and administrative dietary consulting to skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospice facilities, along with ongoing staff in-service education. A longtime volunteer with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Dietitians in Health Care Facilities practice group, she will be recognized as a 50-year Academy member in October 2026.
