Morgan is a Registered Nurse and board-certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse with more than 20 years of nursing experience in acute care, home health, and clinical research. She earned her BS in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and began her career as a med-surg and ICU nurse at Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin. She then spent seven years in home health as a field nurse and case manager, delivering skilled nursing and wound care to patients in their homes. She completed her WOC nursing education through Emory University in 2015 and has practiced as a certified wound, ostomy, and continence nurse ever since.

As a hospital WOC nurse, Morgan has worked at St. David's North Austin Medical Center and at Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville, where she currently practices. From 2022 to 2025 she worked at Methodist Metropolitan Hospital in San Antonio. There she served as a sub-investigator for a Phase 1 clinical trial of a pressure injury prevention device and as the wound team's liaison to the Patient Care Technician Practice Council. She serves on the WOCN Certification Board's Standard Setting Committee and has precepted WOC nursing students. A Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, she has consulted on litigation since 2024 and is trained in defense medical exam observation.
